Louise Bessette, concert pianist and piano professor at the Conservatoire de Musique de Montréal has recently been named Member of the Order of Canada. The Canadian pianist will officially receive this honour at a ceremony that will take place at the Citadelle de Québec on February 22.
The Order recognizes outstanding achievement and lifetime contributions by people in all sectors of Canadian society.
A musician of international renown, Louise Bessette is known for her inspired and energetic performances of the most significant works of our time, whether in solo recitals, in chamber music, or as a soloist with orchestra.
Ms. Bessette will be performing in Montreal at the centre Pierre-Péladeau on April 23rd and May 15th, 2002.
